Throughout history, women have been at the forefront of the animal welfare movement, playing a crucial role in advocating for animal rights.
Today, on International Women’s Day, we acknowledge, with sincere appreciation, the women, past and present, of HSLM.
Female-identifying employees currently account for 87% of the staff team at HSLM. These women are dedicated to our animals and their care and compassion is unprecedented.
Our extended team – of volunteers and donors – also has a predominantly female base, with over 75% of HSLM volunteers and donors being women. Together, the Women of HSLM truly make a difference in the lives of countless animals and allow us to pursue our mission of creating a more humane and compassionate community for all animals.
