Make the Holidays merry and provide hope to a shelter pet. A monetary donation will ensure that the shelter pets have everything they need this holiday season. From nutritional needs to veterinary services, HSLM is entirely dependent on individual and corporate donations to care for over 2,500 pets in your community each year.
2. Gift Exchange Donations
Give in their name. Share the joy this holidays by giving a gift to a shelter pet in honour of someone special in your life. Your choice of card or ecard will be sent to your recipient and let them know their gift will help those in need.
3. Wish List Item Donations
Pet food, blankets, cleaning supplies, etc. are always needed and appreciated. The HSLM Wish List outlines items we’re currently in need of at the shelter. Our lists are updated weekly, be sure to check the website for our most current list!
4. Shop the HSLM Store
Our HSLM Mystery Pet Gift boxes, 2021 Calendars and branded swag make perfect holiday gifts, while also helping to support animals in your community. The purchase of an HSLM Calendar equals one vaccinations for a shelter pet!
5. Time Donations
Although HSLM is not currently recruiting new in-shelter volunteers as a result of the pandemic, you can help the animals by sewing/knitting pet gifts, offering professional maintenance services or other professional skills. Check out current volunteer opportunities on our website.
6. Virtual Fundraising
Organize your own fundraiser to help HSLM pets. Virtual third party fundraising events are a great option during this time of social distancing. Examples like, a Facebook crowdfunding fundraiser, online auction, virtual concert, etc. Submit your event details online and we will add your event to our upcoming listings.
