NO EMPTY BOWLS PET FOOD BANK

What is No Empty Bowls?

Keeping Pets and Families Together

No Empty Bowls (NEB) is a volunteer-driven pet food program dedicated to helping families facing financial hardship. Our mission is simple but powerful: no pet goes hungry, and no family has to surrender a beloved companion because of food costs.

Thanks to our volunteers and donors, NEB provides essential pet food to families in need, reduces food waste, and strengthens support within our community. More than just a food program, NEB is a lifeline, a community working together to make sure every bowl is full.

How NEB Works

  • Pet food is packaged into 5-pound take-home baggies.
  • We use new and recently expired food (within six months), carefully inspected to be safe for pets.
  • Packages often include dry food, wet/canned food, and treats for balanced meals.
  • NEB partners with local organizations to provide pick-up points throughout London and surrounding areas, making it easy for families to access the food they need.

Every bag represents the care and support of our volunteers, donors, and community partners coming together to ensure no bowl goes empty.

Our Impact in 2025

Packaged 1,348 boxes of pet food

Distributed 12,132 bags totalling 26,960 lbs of food

Thanks to our volunteers and community, thousands of pets were fed, families were supported, and food was saved from landfills.

History of NEB

Wendy and Kevin recognized a strong need for pet food support in their community. For 10 years, they ran No Empty Bowls from their home, helping hundreds of pets every month.

In February 2023, they retired and transitioned NEB to HSLM, ensuring this vital program continues to feed pets and support families in need. We are honoured to continue their legacy.
