Your Donations Help At-Risk Animals like Roman
When Roman, a 7-year-old bulldog mix, arrived at the shelter, his eyes told a painful story. He was suffering from chronic dry eye (KCS) and double cherry eyes, leaving his eyelids red, swollen, and constantly crusted with discharge. He couldn’t fully close them, making it nearly impossible to keep his eyes lubricated. His vision had already begun to fade, and he seemed only able to sense changes in light.
Thankfully, Roman underwent surgery to correct the cherry eyes and restore proper eyelid function. With this procedure and the help of daily tear replacement drops, his eyes have improved significantly.
The swelling and discharge have diminished, and we’re starting to see signs of returning vision. Roman is now not only more comfortable, but finally able to see the world a little more clearly.
