Update on Thirty (30) Dogs and Puppies Surrendered to HSLM

On behalf of the entire Human Society London & Middlesex (HSLM) team and Board of Directors, I wish to offer our appreciation to the individuals and businesses in our community for their unbelievable support over the past few weeks. Since we announced that 30 dogs and puppies had been surrendered to the shelter, the amount of support we have received has been truly overwhelming and humbling.

The dogs have been very well cared for since their arrival to our facility. Our staff has been busy ensuring they receive proper triage, veterinary care (including medications and spay/neuter surgeries), socialization and general clean up. All animals in our care receive individual attention so the dogs and puppies will be available for adoption as they become ready.  Some will be ready to meet potential families as soon as today.

Animals come into our care one of two ways: they are either surrendered by their former owners or are removed from neglectful or abusive situations. In either situation, we are unable to comment about the animals’ previous history or living conditions.

Thank you again for your continued support!
