Humane Society London & Middlesex is excited to announce our first annual Walk for the Animals!

Join your fellow animal lovers and bring your furry friends for the best walk you’ll take all year.

With our shelter at capacity and more animals relying on us for help every day, the funds raised by the HSLM Walk for the Animals are more important than ever! We’re counting on you to join us and make a difference for animals in need, so sign up today and start working toward your fundraising goal!

What: HSLM Walk for the Animals is a critical fundraiser supporting the vulnerable pets in London & Middlesex.

Who: This event is great for all ages, bring your family, colleagues and even your furry friends!

Join as an individual, create a team or join an existing team. Top fundraising individuals and teams will have the chance to win great prizes!

When: The main event takes place Sunday, October 29, 2023 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Where: The main event takes places at Springbank Park (registration for the walk will be located in the Storybook Gardens parking lot near the carousel)

There are two routes available to walkers. The short loop is approximately 1.2KM and the long loop is approximately 2.2KM

You can also walk wherever you like. Many people choose to walk in their own neighbourhood in lieu of joining us at the event.

Why: This event is a ton of fun, a great team builder and a chance to show the community that you believe in animal welfare. Supporting the HSLM Walk for the Animals means you will help support the programs and services that impact pets and people in our community.

The fun doesn’t stop after the walk. When you register and fundraise a minimum of $20 for the HSLM Walk for the Animals, you will receive free entry into Storybook Gardens for a dog-friendly Halloween event in support of HSLM.

Rules and Regulations

1. Participants do NOT have to walk with a dog.

2. Children under the age of 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

3. All dogs must be leashed at all times.

4. Pledges are eligible for a tax receipt.

5. We walk rain or shine. See you there!

6. No retractable leashes on the walk. Participants are asked to bring a leash that is a maximum length of 6ft.

7. If you are registered for the walk, met the $20 fundraising minimum and planning to attend the Storybook Gardens event, please do not pre-register on the Storybook site. We will provide you with your ticket at the walk registration table.

Can't Attend?

If you can't attend, you don't have to miss out! You are welcome to fundraise online and you can participate “virtually"
