HSLM On-Site Vet Clinic

Not having a vet clinic onsite has been one of our biggest limitations as a humane society, so we are excited to now have the ability to provide veterinary care for our animals within our own facility.

With over 150 animals in our care each day, this vet clinic is critically needed to provide timely and accessible care to the shelter animals. Our vet clinic will allow us to reduce the time animals require sheltering care before being available for adoption. With more animals becoming adoptable sooner, our hope is that adoptions will be facilitated quicker, which in turn will allow us to help more animals in need of our care.

Our vet clinic includes a full IDEXX in-house laboratory suite for real-time diagnostics, digital Radiography (DR X-ray) for advanced imaging, two fully equipped surgical suites for both routine and urgent procedures, and a dedicated dental suite with digital dental radiology to support comprehensive oral health care.

Once we have established processes to support the care of animals in our shelter, we will work to determine what types of services our vet clinic might offer to our community.
