*MUST BE ADOPTED BY SOMEONE WHO LIVES OUTSIDE OF ONTARIO & BREED SPECIFIC LEGISLATION IS NOT IN PLACE. *

Aurora is an incredibly sweet and friendly 1-year-old gal who has captured the hearts of the HSLM team. Due to the fact that Aurora has been deemed a prohibited breed under BSL (Breed Specific Legislation), she must be adopted by someone outside of Ontario where this legislation is not in place. HSLM will be facilitating Aurora's adoption at our facility, located at 624 Clarke Rd, London, ON. Only potential adopters who live outside of Ontario where Breed Specific Legislation is not in place will be considered. Proof of address and photo I.D will be required.

Adoption process for eligible applicants:

  • Submit adoption application along with two photocopied pieces of I.D which show proof of address (photo ID/driver's license & other) via email: adoptions@hslm.ca in order to be considered to adopt Aurora. Download Dog/Puppy Adoption Form here.

  • HSLM Adoption Team will review applications and will conduct telephone interview(s) with applicants they feel may be a suitable home for Aurora. Note: only selected applicants will be contacted.

  • Following telephone interview(s), an approved potential adopter will be invited to schedule a meeting with the Adoption Team and Aurora in-person at Humane Society London & Middlesex.

“My name is Aurora. I'm a 1-year old, 40-pound beautiful girl. Everyone at HSLM loves me and says I am the nicest girl! Are you an active person or family that lives a structured life and loves to go for walks or hikes? If so, I'd be a great dog for you!  I could run, spin, dart and play all day! Don’t let my 3 legs fool you…I can chase the quickest critters out there. Due to my high prey drive, I would be best suited for a home without any feline or small animal friends. I am also suited for a home where any other dogs are 20 lbs or more. I'm very excitable but am working on mastering my obedience/training basics. I’m a special gal who requires patience and consistency in order to learn. A slow feeder is needed for me, because I LOVE FOOD and eat it as quickly as possible. I have lived with children before, and I think I would do well in a home with respectful children aged six and up."
